It is very important to test your inground swimming pool as well as diy inground swimming pool kits for any signs of defects. Detecting these defects early is very important in order to avoid incurring problems in the future.
Aside from inspecting the inground pool kits cheap, water chemical testing is also an utmost importance. This test is basically divided into two types of kits, the test strips and dropper kits.
Dropper Kits:
• Any good pool test kit should have readings for chlorine and combined chlorine, calcium hardness, alkalinity, pH, and Cyanuric Acid or CYA. These items are mostly intended for inground pools.
• FAS-DPD Reagent Pool Kit is the most widely use dropper test kit. Although it’s highly recommended by many pool owners, using this type of test kit can be very confusing and time consuming, especially for first time users because of its adopted swirling method. It is, however, very accurate in its reading. Only a few drops are needed to complete this test. The reagent is drop inside the chamber, and the result is based on the number of drops or by comparing its color to the chart.
• Ortho-To-lidene or OTO is more popularly known as the yellow test kit. This kit can cover nearly all readings but is more frequently used for pH and chlorine monitoring. This kit is also designed for spas and pools. It’s a complete system in convenient package.
Test Strips:
• Using Test strips is also one way of checking the health of your pool. These strips are very easy and convenient to use. The procedure only involves taking a single strand of strip, dipping it straight into the pool water, and then comparing its yielded result from the various squares to the corresponding diagram. These strips can be use to test the pool’s pH, alkalinity, chlorine, and hardness level.
